Counselling provides the opportunity to talk confidentially with a trained counsellor about areas of life that are causing you worry or concern. It is a chance to explore feelings, thoughts, relationships or behaviours which trouble you. Our role is to create a supportive environment where you can feel safe to explore any issues which cause you difficulties. The focus of Counselling is more likely to be on specific problems, changes in life adjustments and on achieving desired goals.
Psychotherapy is an activity that utilises an interpersonal relationship to enable people to develop self-understanding and to make changes in their lives. Psychotherapists work within a clearly contracted, principled relationship that enables their clients to obtain assistance in exploring and resolving issues of an interpersonal, intrapsychic, or personal nature. Psychotherapy is more concerned with the restructuring of the personality or self and the development of insight.
Transpersonal therapy responds creatively and sensitively to the needs of each person and can support people experiencing crisis, trauma, depression, grief, anxiety, relationship issues, life changes, limiting patterns of behaviour, loss of meaning, and is appropriate for clients with stable lives who want support to live consciously.
Transpersonal work can include the following modalities: Dreamwork, Breathwork, Symbol work, Emotional Processing work, Body-Focused work, Journalling, Meditation and other Integrative Practices including Art, Movement, Mindfulness and Inner Contemplation.
We offer a range of experiential interactive workshops, support groups and educational seminars in a welcoming small group environment, including creative Art Therapy, Self-Care and Support for Health Professionals, Dreamwork and Body-Oriented Therapy workshops.
